PASTOR'S BIO

Pastor Arthur W. Jones

 

Rev. Arthur W. Jones was born July 26, 1966 in Leary, GA.  He is married to his wife of 25 years, Minister Deborah A. Jones. They have 2 sons and 2 grand-daughters. 

 

Rev. Jones accepted Christ at an early age and joined the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Leary, GA.  There he served in many different positions.  In 1987 he joined Friendship Baptist Church in Duluth, GA under the leadership of Pastor Ronald L. Bowens.  It was at Friendship Baptist Church that Rev. Jones accepted his call by God to preach the Gospel in 1990 at the age of twenty-four.  He was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1993 and received his Certificate of Ordination in 1995. He continued to worship and serve at Friendship for seven years.

 

In 1997 Rev. Jones was called by God to serve at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA under the leadership of Pastor Eddie W. Bailey Sr.  He served at Mt. Zion for seven years.

 

In September, 2004 Rev. & Minister Jones returned to Friendship Baptist Church where they served in the Ministry of Teaching, Preaching and Evangelism.

 

In October, 2007 Rev. Jones was called as Interim Pastor at the St. John Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA.  There he served faithfully as Preacher and Teacher of the Word of God until the calling of the new Pastor in June, 2008.

 

In December, 2009 Rev. Jones was called to be the Pastor of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Lula GA.  There he is serving faithfully to fulfill the will of God to grow the church in the way that the Lord Jesus Christ would have it to be.

 

Rev. Jones attended Calhoun County High School, Albany Area Vocational / Tech School and Gwinnett Baptist College.

Minister Deborah A. Jones

(Preacher, Teacher, Servant of God)

 

   Minister Deborah Jones is a native of Faber, Virginia.  She is the wife of Pastor Arthur W. Jones of the Springfield Baptist Church, Lula, GA. Together they have two sons and two grand-daughters. Pastor and Minister Jones have been married for 25 years and they reside in Suwanee, GA.

 

   Deborah gave her life to Christ and joined the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Faber, Virginia at an early age and was an active member of the Sunday School and Choir. In 1991 she moved to Duluth, GA with State Farm Insurance Company.  After moving to Georgia, she joined the Friendship Baptist Church in Duluth, GA. under the leadership of Pastor Ronald L. Bowens, and served faithfully as Youth Director, Young Adult Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Minister.  

 

   Deborah accepted her call to preach the Gospel on August 23, 2003.  She received her License to Preach the Gospel on January 28, 2007.  Deborah loves to serve God and God’s people.  She especially enjoys ministering to women and children. She presently serves as Youth Sunday School Teacher, Director / Teacher of Kids Church, and Vice-President of the Sister’s In Christ Women’s Ministry at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Lula, GA.

 

      Deborah strives daily to be a living example of one of her favorite Bible verses; “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
